Friend Birthday Poems

Welcome to Friend Birthday Poems. This is absolutely beautiful....Happy birthday my friend.I wish you much pleasure and joy and I hope all of your wishes come true!
(Helen)My friend
Many years ago
I fell in like with you
And I'm still head over heels in like with you
A further test of our friendship....
How many people could I say that to
Without fear of being misunderstood?

(Sweet Birthday) Your birthdays are sweet,
Never discreet,
They taste like honey,
Always so funny.
The sweetest cake,
We would always bake,
With sugar or cane,
Never the same.
Wishing you,
the sweetest day,
that's filled with sugar,
In every way.

(A Birthday Poem For My Friend)

Today must be your birthday because the sun is shinning bright
The clouds that are usually hiding it are now nowhere in sight
The birds are singing joyfully as they go happily on their way
It's as if Mother Nature herself knew this was a very special day

The day before was gloomy and the weather was pretty bad
But on this day it all went away and now I don’t feel so sad
My sadness was replaced with happiness that wasn't there before
Your birthday does this every year so I hope you'll have many more

Every year it's has been this way since the day of your sweet birth
And it's this day that makes me appreciate my time down here on earth
My friendship with you grows each year and I feel a special bond
And when this day no longer shines I will know that you are gone

By Gordon Duquette

A birthday can be seen as a serious or joyful time depending on one's age and one's attitude towards life. Another year has passed and we look back on failures and successes.

(My Best Friend!!!)

So I sit here thinking about that day
that god sent me an angel, and I thank him for not taking you away.

Because you changed my world with a blink on an eye
that is something I can not deny.

You are a best friend that will always be there
because you are a best friend that really cares.

You really don't know what you have done for me
you pushed me to be the best thing I can be.

When I'm with you I can't cry a single tear
and your touch chases away all of my fear.

You really are an angel sent from above
to take care of me and show me what is love.

Now I have found what I am looking for
and that is your love and nothing more.

You made my sadness and worries a thing of the past
because you showed me a love that will last.

Man what we have just feels so right
because when I am in the darkness you show me the light.

I am so happy knowing that we are really never apart
because you have always remained in my heart.

Trust me [name] you will always be my best friend
and that is because my love for you will never end.

I wish I could talk to you till the end of the day
but now I am running out of things to say.

So I'll end this by a line you already know
and that is I Love You more then I can ever show!!!

(Friend Birthday Poems)
It's such a lovely thing for me
To have you (Jane)as a friend
You're someone who understands us
On whom I can depend
You see and know my faults
And like me anyway
And you never seem to take offence
At anything I say
Your friendship is a precious gift
And I will always treasure
You, (Jane) who shares my grief, my joy
My heartache and my pleasure
Have a really lovely Birthday

Funny Poems, quotes

“One bright day in the middle of the night 2 dead boys got up to fight. back to back they faced eachother, drew their swords and shot eachother. a deaf policeman heard the noise, got right up and arrested the boys. if you think this tale is tall, ask the old blind man, he saw it all”. …

it's funny how hello is always accompanied with goodbye
it's funny how good memories can start to make you cry
it's funny how forever never seems to last
it's funny how much you'd lose if you forgot about your past
it's funny how “friends” can just leave when you are down
it's funny how when you need someone they never are around
it's funny how people change and think they're so much better
it's funny how many lies are packed into one “love letter”
it's funny how one night can contain so much regret
it's funny how you can forgive but not forget
it's funny how ironic life turns out to be
but the funniest part of all, is none of thats funny to me

(I Have to Write a Poem)

I have to write a poem
but I really don't know how.
So maybe I'll just make a rhyme
with something dumb, like "cow."

Okay, I'll write about a cow,
but that's so commonplace.
I think I'll have to make her be...
a cow from outer space!

My cow will need a helmet
and a space suit and a ship.
Of course, she'll keep a blaster
in the holster on her hip.

She'll hurtle through the galaxy
on meteoric flights
to battle monkey aliens
in huge karate fights.

She'll duel with laser sabers
while avoiding lava spray
to vanquish evil emperors
and always save the day.

I hope the teacher likes my tale,
"Amazing Astro Cow."
Yes, that's the poem I will write
as soon as I learn how.

I thought it was HILARIOUS! I recited it to my dad and he burst out laughing

(A Pug is a Dog)

A pug is a dog
with a curlicue tail.
He eats like a hog
and he snores like a whale.
He's flat in the snout
and his belly is big.
The pug came about
just by misspelling pig.

(Best Friends)
if someone said what's a best friend
I'd have to say someone who's there, till the bitter end
someone who listens when times get shit
someone who'll tell you your fella's a git
they'll always arrive in the nick of time
with chocolate and vodka
and a feel better line like "your too good for him anyway"
or "well you said he was crap in bed"
or even "I know babe get with my cousin instead"
coz best friends are angels, that god sent along,
to get bladdered beside you and dance like a mong.
she'll tell you your stunning when your looking fab
but will call you a hippo when your flashing your flab
she'll stand by your side and love all your kids
she'll be your chief bridesmaid when you marry your git
when you make the wrong choice
and she knew how it'd go
she'll give you a cuddle and never say "told you so"
so this is for you my best friend in the world
your my rock
your my sanity
couldn't have wished for a better girl.

My Friend is special to me,
her snoring sounds like a bee,
her name is Fay.
She comes to my house at the weekend too stay.
Fay, Fay with your snoring,
all I can do is love you anyway.

Holiday Poems

I enjoyed hearing this again - reminded me of our holidays in the back garden when I was a nipper.Holidays are opportunities for friends and relatives to get together and celebrate life. Our lives have become so hectic and stressful that we spend way too little time with the people we love
(A Hood Christmas)
twas the night before christmas and all through the hood
no one was set tripping so it was all good
the stockings were hung on the wall with some nails
dads back on heroin cause mom hit the trails
the kids were asleep all warm in their beds
with visions of murder invading their heads
the dogs kept on barking because of the noise
the kids were all hoping it was st. nick with toys
they looked out the window and what did they see
the neighborhood crackhead stealing their tv
they ran to the phone to call up the laws
while dad was chasing him down in his draws
the cops took too long and dad was to slow
the thief got away and dad got more blow
the kids have been good and nice all year long
but santa wasn't coming what did they do wrong
that christmas was something but it was not merry
cause santa was sleighjacked somewhere on east berry
as you can tell this is all messed up right
merry christmas to all and to all a hood night

(Child Holiday Poem)
My mom is cooking holiday treats;
My dad is spending money;
They think they've hidden all the gifts;
It's really pretty funny.
Now Mom and Dad are whispering;
They imagine I don't hear.
I'm really all excited;
It's a happy time of year.
I've made my holiday gift list;
Whatever I get, I'll be glad
To be a part of my family,
And the best holiday I've had!

Here's more holiday poems, in a holiday rhyme, to send to people you care about.
(Holiday Wishes)
We wish for you a holiday
That's better than your dreams,
Filled with peace, good will and hope
And firelight that gleams,
Overflowing with holiday spirit
Good food and holiday laughter;
And when it's done, We hope that you
Live happily ever after!

(Christmas Now And Then)

Well it is December and Christmas is almost here
Another happy Christmas for family and good cheer
There will be tables loaded with turkeys hams and sweets
We know there will be more than we could ever eat

There will be a big tree shining so bright
With beautiful decorations and pretty shiny lights
Under that tree there will be present galore
So many you would wonder how there could be anything left in the store

Christmas now is really so much fun
But gosh there is just too much for everyone
My thoughts go back to a cold Christmas
long ago
To a family not blessed with riches and gold

Our little tree was kind of skimpy, with some ribbons and a few shiny balls
But to us it stood magnificent, the greatest of them all
Under that tree was a present for Raye, a present for Sister and a present for me
And we could hardly wait as we would open them with glee

There was not a lot of fancy food on that table, times were kind of tough
But we were all happy and for us it was enough
We were so thankful as we thanked the Lord above
We knew what we had was paid for with Daddys' hard work and Mamas love

I'm thankful that we now have so much and our blessings are many
And it is good to live in this great land of plenty
But I would gladly give every material thing that I own
To have one more Christmas with Mama and Daddy and my two sisters at home

Life poems

In some sense, it could be argued a category about Life is a vague, nebulous cop-out. Any poem ever penned by Man or Woman would surely gain ready admittance here. All poems, almost by definition, are about Life.

(Alcoholic)

Red bled the sun upon a dying day.
I was red across the dial – in denial –
Purple bags bemoaning alcoholics’ eyes –
Blind, they still portray a depth of ruin
You’ll never understand.

I boozed away until another trial,
Always doing wrong inside a wrong
Inside a wrong – forgetting all the rights –
Fretting, drinking, pinking up, stinking:
Ah! the meths; I drank another round.

Red eased into the night; black scoffed.
I was black across the eyes – no surprise!
Ethanolic fumes resumed their nightly play.

I couldn’t pray,

So crimson haemoglobin gave display
Of flush as vessels opened wide.
Red gushed – oesophageal varices
Teased, eased the endothelium;
Brought it all to split.

Erythrocytic fire flared across
A park of haggard flesh.
I choked in red; died like a fish
Ripped, stripped by a shark
Artistically in dance through
Gritty clouds of death-blood.

Red spread the cold and solid ground.
I was cold – a deathly mound
Surrounded by an audience of shuffling feet.
Replete, my corpse had played its role.

No more the alcoholic porn;
No more the tortured soul.

By Mark R Slaughter 2010
But don't, for a moment, think that makes this category any less important. On the contrary, if the poems and topics you are about to explore are about Life, then they are also about you.
(This is my life)
Life defines in Metabolism,
In reproduction,
we make our miniature selves,
our look alike
In the power of adaptation,
like what is in now,
What is fashionable,
how I blend with all of you
How I mimic you,
how I become a clown to you,

Life in being nice
This is my life A short and a merry one
This my life In the middle of my own life
To life,
a life,
in the hope of discovering the meaning of my life,
My speech my
poetry
Come to life with me
To the life,
for the life of one like me,
Not taking this life in my own hands,
Never,
never,
To life,
this is life
As big as life
as large as life is large
In resiliency,
in elasticity
Animations, cartooning, animate,
I vivify
I vilify
I quicken
I liken
The life force in my life’s functions
Drawn from life
to life drawn
Dream to life a life full of dreams
This liveliness, this sparkle
This effervescence of life,
this bubbling life like wine
This sprightliness like soft
Drink like energy drinks
This verve,
this vigor
this vivacity
Of life to life as big as life
My life
This is my life
This me I am life
I am energy
i am in this
poem trying to run
away from everything in my life,
running in life
to life and life,
because of life,
for life.

By RIC S. BASTASA
No one person can ever experience all that life has to offer. It is only through sharing - experiences, feelings, insights - that we can hope to grow beyond our own meager lifetime. Are you ready to grow today?

(In Life)

In life there are people that will hurt us and cause us pain,
but we must learn to forgive and forget and not hold grudges.

In life there are mistakes we will make,
but we must learn from our wrongs and grow from them.

In life there are regrets we will have to live with,
but we must learn to leave the past behind and realize it is something we can't change.

In life there are people we will loose forever and can't have back,
but we must learn to let go & move on.

In life there are going to be obstacles that will cause interference,
but we must learn to overcome these challenges and grow stronger.

In life there are fears that will hold us back from what we want,
but we must learn to fight them with the courage from within.

God holds our lives in his hands. He holds the key to our future.
Only he knows our fate.

He see's everything and knows everything.
Everything in life really does happen for a reason: "God's Reason".

Love poems, quotes

I promise Ii won't cheat i promise i won't lie but baby all i want to do is be~by your side........on your thighs. Is that how you spell that?  Love most of the poems

(Loving You So Much)

The moment I think about you
I go to another world
A world where you love me too
And where I can never be hurt

The truth is I don’t know what to say
My mind goes completely blank
I have never in my life lost my way
But my heart with your love simply sank

If letting go was a choice
Then I definitely would
But I can't control the strong voice
That's telling me I never should

I have no clue
On how I should let you go
What is it that you do?
That's making me love you so…

Maybe loving you isn’t a mistake
Maybe I can close my eyes and smile
Maybe in your presence my heart wouldn’t break
Maybe I can just dream for a while…

I sometimes wonder if you feel the same
I wonder if you think of me
I sometimes wonder if you silently call my name
I wonder if you'll ever see…

In the beginning I thought it was fake
I didn't think I'd go this far
I thought it was just a mistake
Now I can't stop wondering where you are

The question is do you care?
Do you even know?
Will you always be there?
Will you ever let me go?

If for any reason I cried
Would you take all the pain away?
If for any reason you lied
Would I still want you to stay?

My love for you is way too strong
For me to simply forget
Some people might think it's wrong
But your love is the one thing I shan't regret.

A Special World

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.

And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.

How is this Poem? Heart feels warm I can Feel it beating its bout time I sucked those titties so I can start teething I know I'm dumb I know I'm brash but I've been waiting far too long to tap that perfect ass I promise I won't cheat I promise I won't lie as long as you ride my dick all the way, sky fucking high it may sound like all I want is sex, but that just isn't it your company just alone is what really makes me tick

(Childhood Sweetheart)

I just let her slip away my grip got so weak,
I think about her each hour each day each week

we grew up together ending so far apart,
as the distance grew further it broke my heart

Even if you were a million miles away,
the love that I feel grows each and every day

I wait by the phone hoping to hear you call,
a text an email no nothing at all

I hear from friends that you moved onto someone new,
but they'll never give as much love as I'd give to you

maybe one day my scars will heal with time,
but I will never forget my sweet valentine

for me I let my first love get away,
and my heart is now broken more than words could say

so never take for granted the first love of your life,
take her in open arms and make her your wife

Love

Love is like a lump of gold,
Hard to get, and hard to hold.
Of all the girls I've ever met,
You're the one I can't forget.
I do believe that God above,
Created you for me to love.
He chose you from all the rest,
Because he knew I would love you best.

By Loy Bowman

If we deny love that is given to us, if we refuse to give love because we fear pain or loss, then our lives will be empty, our loss greater.

(Love So Pure)

its sweet like the nectar
of the garden flower,
its soothing like the buzzing
of a bumble bee,
its warm like the rays
of the morning sun,
its the search of a love so pure
which keeps me on the run.

its the pulse in my vein,
the thoughts in my brain,
in every breath that I take,
the smile my lips make,
its in the twinkle of my eye,
till the day I die.

its the dream in my sleep,
its springs freshest leaf;
a love so rare like this
will always be with me for keeps.

its the warmth of my blood,
as my feelings flood,
as says my heart's beat,
its depth touches the ocean's feet.

even if its heart searing pain,
with nothing to gain,
I will feel it as the tear on my cheek,
and without words my soul will speak.

a feeling so sincere,
a bond so strong,
I know my soul will never guide me wrong.

I will wait till my last sunset,
till my heart slows down with a dull ache,
till my eyes are wet,
till I meet my soul's mate,
yes, I will wait.

(Everything Mom)
How did you find the energy, Mom
To do all the things you did,
To be teacher, nurse and counselor
To me, when I was a kid.
How did you do it all, Mom,
Be a chauffeur, cook and friend,
Yet find time to be a playmate,
I just can’t comprehend.
I see now it was love, Mom
That made you come whenever I'd call,
Your inexhaustible love, Mom
And I thank you for it all.

(Daughter of My Heart)
You turned out even better
Than I often dreamed you’d be;
You’re more than I had hoped for;
You’re a sweet reward to me.
You grew up to be a mother
Full of wisdom, warmth and love,
A good and fine role model,
A blessing from above.
I couldn’t be any prouder
Than I am today of you;
You’re my daughter and my friend,
And a wonderful person, too.
You have my love forever;
I adored you from the start;
It’s a privilege to be your mother,
Dear daughter of my heart.

(Random things about my Mother)
My mother whose eyes were strained
By a sadness that stained her eyes
With grey and blue hue

My mother who never blew
Out candles on a birthday cake

My mother who never knew
The thrills of flying in an airplane

My mother who forever threw
Her pearls to swine

My mother who knew
No contentment in living

My who mother never lived
To be even seventy two

My mother who it is true
Stopped living long before she died

My mother from whose mouth flew
Words of disappointment and fury

My mother whose lips
Tasted bitter tears

My mother sat impatiently
In sorrow through her years

My mother who like Kunta Kinte
Was tamed by Diabets

My mother who was tamed
By my father

My mother who was captured by my father

My mother who fought with my father
The two them struggling false teeth piercing each others flesh

My mother who my father told to go and cook the mint

My mother who would beat us and cause wounds and bruises to our skin

My mother who love to walk about

My mother who gave a toe
A day away

My mother who kiked with her stump of a leg after she lost her foot

My mother who was a great dresser

My mother who could sing
Sang on the church choir

My mother who would be at the front of the church earliest every Saturday
My mother who insisted I be baptized and save by the holy ghost

My mother had beautiful handwriting
My mother who had nine children for five different men

My mother who tried to settle down with my father

My mother who could never swim

My mother who loved to sing

My mother who would tie us up on leashes and take us for long walks through the town

My mother who sought out hand me-downs – for our clothing

My mother who was active in the Welfare Society at church so she could cream the crop for her family

My mother who instigated many a conflicts with her numerous friend was left with only a few in the end.

My mother whom I so wanted to help evolve

My mother who I helped to live

My mother who I had to let die

My mother who lives in me

Poems nature

The poetry you will find here reflects on the beauty and power of nature. Poems about the destruction of Hurricanes and Tsunamis, the wonder of the seasons, the joys of observing wild animals in their natural habitat. Sunrise and sunset, the sun and the moon, the decay of Fall, the rebirth of Spring, the long days of Summer, the snow covered world of Winter.

(The Days of Fall)

A day painted gray
Sent me on my way.
The cold wind enveloped me
And colored leaves swirled by.
Oh, how I miss the summer warmth
And gentle breezes
Another whoosh of wind
Painted my cheeks red
And a sad bird in a bare tree
Chirped as if to agree.
It’s gray, it’s damp and cold
And I’m so all alone...
Turning about
I gazed at the metallic sky above
Full of clouds
No sun in sight
Soon the final leaves would sail away
And the fall days
Will turn to winter
And winter snows will bring a blanket of white
And that bird chirped I know, I know
At least it sounded so
And off I went
Bent against the wind
Collar pulled up high
Spirits low
Wishing for a ray of sun
But there is none....

(The Will of Heaven)

All creatures are the will of Heaven.
It started from the ancient time to elongate till now.
How much can the earthling gain or lose ?
Heaven commands it all.

Does Heaven truly understand all kind of distress ?
Why does He not to guide the earthling ?
Why do the ordinary people never obtain the basic request ?
We are merely a simpleton or a dreamer.

Why does He not to let us to move half step further ?
Can He show us a tiny mercy, please ?
We will spare no effort to challenge to Heaven with all our sorrow and anger.
We can never surmise His joy or rage, but.

Will He ever be old and feeble ?
We will never know.
We do not need His compliment.
The most we can do is follow our hearts to find the right direction in the storm.

(A Poison Tree a poem by William Blake )

I was angry with my friend;
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I waterd it in fears,
Night and morning with my tears:
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright.
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine.

And into my garden stole.
When the night had veiled the pole;
In the morning glad I see,
My foe outstretchd beneath the tree.
